Being certified organic just wasn't quite enough, we needed more...

No chemicals, No toxins, just pure great tasting coffee

What does this mean?

We are so happy to announce that after testing all of our green beans we are TOXIN FREE! This is huge news for us.

So many people are still unaware of how many toxins we consume with our day to day coffee intake. As you can imagine this can’t be beneficial for our bodies, and some people have said they feel the affects as soon as they’ve had their first morning cuppa.

We know our coffee is organic. But we wanted to be 100% sure that no chemicals have come in contact with the green beans, we decided to get in touch with a UK company that now test all of our green beans in German labs.

What is Glyphosate?

You may never have heard of a substance called glyphosate, but you may have some in your garage, basement or backyard shed. Glyphosate is the active ingredient in many herbicides, or weed killers and is also commonly used on coffee farms, especially those at lower altitude to prevent insects from affecting the coffee plant. So Glyphosate is the most used a common toxin you will find in your everyday coffee. being organic means that none of this is used on an organic coffee farm, but we wouldn’t feel right not knowing for sure.

How can Glyphosate affect us?

Glyphosate has also been the subject of many studies and legal challenges regarding its potential to cause cancer. The World Health Organization’s (WHO) International Agency for Research on Cancer, stated in 2015 that glyphosate is “probably carcinogenic to humans.”

However,  the U.S Environmental protection agency (EPA) says there’s “no evidence that glyphosate causes cancer in humans.”  But the fact it’s even a possibility is a no go for us!

What are we doing about it?

We will now be testing all of our green beans and every new batch we get in for the foreseeable future. This is a step we think is now essential! so rest assured you can enjoy our coffee with ease😄

While you're here why don't you treat yourself...
