La Canada is a region in Oaxaca which is famous for the quality of its typicas, its organic practices and the rich cultural heritage of all the indigenous communities.
CORO is a cooperative made up of 2500 smallholders and has been running since 2007. The average producer owns 0.5 hectares which creates challenges for them to access the market. CORO have 15 warehouses across the region where smallholders can bring their parchment and certify the coffee. They also help with farm renovation and give away unto 1.5 million new plants to their members every year. This washed coffee has a smooth and creamy body, plenty of sweet orange acidity and ripe berry notes.
