Sister Adams Blend consists of the following Single Origin Arabica coffees Colombia / Brazil / Nicaragua
Sister Adams served as a Voluntary Aid Detachment (VAD) Nurse & Matron at the First World War Auxiliary Military Hospital located at Wellingborough Gas & Light Co (Now Nene Court where our roastery is based) from March 1916 until her death in service on 8th November 1918.
Sister Adams was a true local heroine & her remains are buried here in Northamptonshire. Sadly, over time her grave has fallen into disrepair, so for every 250g bag of Sister Adams Espresso Blend purchased, we will donate towards the fund set up to renovate the damaged stone.
Thanks for helping us ensure we'll 'never forget' this modest & humble heroine.
August 2019 Update we have raised over the pledge anount and not only restored the grave we have also comissioned a bench here at Nene Court in honour of Sister Adams.
